Maximize the impact of your program

you've started building your coaching legacy, but if you're like most established coaches I know, you're stuck trying to get your staff on the same page. You're constantly micromanaging — which you know is a losing strategy. You're pulled between building the players and building the staff. You wish you could clone yourself to get more done and make sure your program performs at the level that you know they can. You feel like you're stuck on the treadmill, running harder and faster, but ultimately not moving any further toward your goals.

Do this feel Familiar?

  • Caught between teaching to delegate and not having the time to spare

  • Pressure to win

  • Anxious to create opportunities for your staff to grow, but worried about the impact on the student-athlete

  • Wondering how to get your staff to optimize recruiting

  • Uncertain of the coaching staff cohesiveness

  • Worried about keeping the momentum of the program moving forward

  • Overwhelmed by the constant change and how to help your staff adapt

  • Pressure to perform is spilling over into your personal relationships, leaving them strained and you isolate

I know how you feel because I've been where you are. I've tried to carry on what's been done before. I even tried to copy other people's management styles and used "best practices" to "do it according to the book." But nothing worked until I learned that I could trust myself. That my experience mattered. That my values had to be expressed in my leadership. Ultimately, I realized that I needed to do the hard work that no one will notice, to achieve what everyone wants to achieve.

With more than a decade of leading his coaching staffs out of dysfunctoin and cohesive staff culture, I created a process that could be applied to any staff with these same issues. The Engage Performance Coaching Method ADDRESSES THESE AREAS:

The COACH

You focus on developing your awarness to tap into your energy, foster your sense of belonging and do the work that builds your confidence.

THE TEAM ENVIRONMENT

You determine the actions and behaviors that need to be taught and the methods empowers your student-athletes through empathy

THE PERFORMANCE

You gift your student-athletes the freedom to explore their abilities and have the grit to ensure that the processes result in the ultimate outcomes.

When you follow this process, you can expect long-lasting, impactful results like:

  • Your staff thrives under pressure.

  • Your staff sees conflict of ideas as a way to grow.

  • Recruiting becomes an opportunity to trust and support your staff as they bring their ideas to the table.

  • You trust that together you will find the upward trajectory that leads to team success.

  • You're confident that your leadership will help solve any issue that comes your way.

  • You trust that you've done the work that allows you to act together as a cohesive staff.

  • You are so confident in the process that you look forward to turning up to work and you can leave work behind because you trust your team.

  • "Josh was my mentor during my first foray into international coaching, he helped me stay connected to who I want to be as a coach."

    Karameli Fa’ae’ee

  • "Josh helped me learn how I lead and create the culture within the gym community that I was building."

    Crawford Miller

  • "Working with Josh is always an adventure in chasing ideas and turning it into action."

I would love to be a part of your journey and guide y’all through my Coach Development Program. This program works with you to build your individual personal foundations; creates connection to frameworks for accountability and responsibility; then builds your staff’s ability to empower your athletes to put your team into a position where pressure is a privilege.

Let’s discuss the coach you want to be and start to map our your program’s way to Cultivate Champions.

'When I first stepped into my coaching role, I had big dreams of what I wanted to achieve and how I wanted to shape my program. But my reality didn't match my expectations. The pressure to win, the politics, and the constant demands left me feeling like I was barely keeping my head above water. I found myself questioning my instincts, suppressing my values, and struggling to bring my true self into my coaching.

I understand the weight you're carrying—the drive to excel, the desire to create a lasting impact, and the fear of not being good enough. That's why I developed the Engage Performance Coaching Method. It’s a process that helped me step back, reconnect with my vision, and build a winning team culture rooted in authenticity and belonging.

I have stood in your shoes as I looked to bring in new people with different ideas. The struggle to create clarity and cohesion. The difficulty to develop connection between different perspectives and methods. The need to build a common understanding as a coaching staff and the struggle of communicating effectively.
